John Pearl Cohort

John Pearl is the principal of Battle Ground Elementary School in Battle Ground, Ind. Prior to serving in that capacity, he was an Assistant Principal and taught special education at Klondike Elementary School in West Lafayette. John currently serves on Purdue University’s Special Education Advisory Council, and was as a member of Purdue’s College Of Education Strategic Planning Steering Team. John was a member of IPLA group 44. As an IASP member, John is a Kid’s Caring and Sharing District 4 Co-Chair. He is a member of Tippecanoe School Corporation’s Crisis response Team. John and his wife, Shawna, have three children, Evan, Maggie and Cecelia. John was a ten year 4-H member and enjoys assisting his children with 4-H projects, reading (especially Young Hoosier selections) and family celebrations.
